Welcome!

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology, University of Cologne, and associated with the Cologne Center for Comparative Politics. As of 01 October 2020, I will be working as an Akademischer Rat (eq. non-tenured Assistant Professor) at the Institute of Political Science at University of Duisburg-Essen.

My research interests focus on the role of immigration in politics and society, immigrant integration, policy effects on citizens, and quantitative methods. I am the principle investigator of two research projects funded by the German Research Foundation.

From April 2018 to March 2019, I worked as Visiting Associate Professor of Empirical Social and Economic Research at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology, University of Cologne. I was a visiting scholar at the Danish Centre for Welfare Studies, University of Southern Denmark (2018), and at the Oxford Centre for the Study of Intergroup Conflict, University of Oxford (2016). I hold a doctoral degree from the University of Cologne (Research Training Group SocLife, 2015).
