I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology, University of Cologne, and associated with the Cologne Center for Comparative Politics. My research interests focus on the role of immigration in politics and society, immigrant integration, policy effects on citizens, and quantitative methods. I am the principle investigator of a research project on trust asymmetries between natives and immigrants funded by the German Research Foundation.
From April 2018 to March 2019, I worked as Visiting Associate Professor of Empirical Social and Economic Research at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology, University of Cologne. I was a visiting scholar at the Danish Centre for Welfare Studies, University of Southern Denmark (2018), and at the Oxford Centre for the Study of Intergroup Conflict, University of Oxford (2016). I hold a doctoral degree from the University of Cologne (Research Training Group SocLife, 2015).
